The main topic of the fourth panel at the TREND Family Business Conference was the issue of external management. Participants discussed what a family business should keep in mind when it wants or needs to hire an external manager. Peter Križan, Chief Energy Officer at TopHeads, emphasized that a good external manager can bring the company two to three times the amount it invested in hiring them.
Former external CEO of Hossa Family, Juraj Sopko, pointed out that an external manager must know how to manage the changes they bring into the family business. External CFO Peter Iláš added that hiring an external manager is also useful, for example, when a managerial position becomes vacant and it takes time to find a permanent replacement.

Peter Križan, Chief Energy Officer at PERSONALITY, Headhunters & Recruiters, and TOP HEADS Interim Management
Jana Czako Rehak Czakó Rehak, Co-owner of Rehák Interiér
Juraj Sopko, Former External CEO of Hossa Family
