In manufacturing companies today, situations arise where there simply isn’t time to wait several months for a standard hiring process. That’s when the true value of Interim Management becomes clear — the ability to react quickly, bring in a senior professional, and help stabilize the situation exactly when the business needs it most.
WHEN THE ASSIGNMENT ARRIVES ON A FRIDAY AFTERNOON
We have been working with an automotive client for a long time through #PERSONALITY Group, primarily supporting them with permanent recruitment projects. This time, however, the need required a completely different approach.
The request for an Interim Manager arrived on a Friday afternoon.
The client needed someone who could quickly step into a project, assess the situation, and take ownership of a critical area of responsibility.
By Monday at 12:00 PM, we had already presented two relevant candidate profiles.
“In Interim Management, speed is extremely important. Companies often find themselves in situations where they need to act immediately and simply cannot afford to wait several months for a traditional hiring process,” says Ivona Chlebova from TOP HEADS.
THE SITUATION CHANGED. THE NEED REMAINED.
In the end, the client decided to fill the original position internally with a permanent employee.
And that is completely natural. Sometimes companies are able to resolve a situation using their own resources; in other cases, Interim Management is the better solution. The key is having the flexibility to respond according to the company’s current needs.
About a week later, the client contacted us again.
In the meantime, a new project had emerged, focused on de-escalating a challenging situation and stabilizing a specific area within the business. This time, it was clearly an Interim Management assignment.
Another face-to-face meeting followed, and within approximately one month of our initial contact, an Interim Manager had joined the client’s team.
SPEED IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF INTERIM MANAGEMENT
When discussing Interim Management, we often focus on seniority, experience, and the ability to deliver results within a short period of time.
However, the ability to respond quickly is equally important.
Companies today face situations that simply cannot be postponed until the next quarter. Whether it is a production escalation, the need to stabilize a team, or a critical project, businesses need someone who can step in and start delivering almost immediately.
“Today, clients are not only looking for an experienced interim manager. They are looking for someone who can quickly understand the situation, bring stability, and deliver practical solutions,” adds Ivona Chlebova.
That is why at TOP HEADS – Interim Managers Provider in CEE, we place a strong emphasis on speed. Because in Interim Management, it is often days that make the difference.
