TOP HEADS at the Industry & Logistics 2024 Conference: Where Industry Meets the Future
At first glance, TOP HEADS – Interim Managers Provider in CEE and the world of logistics may not seem closely connected. But the reality is quite the opposite. At the TREND Industry & Logistics 2024 conference, we were proudly represented as our CEO, Peter Križan ⭐️, joined a panel discussion on current trends in industrialization and development – speaking on behalf of both TOP HEADS and PERSONALITY Headhunters & Recruiters® SK/CZ.
The panel covered topics like electrification in logistics, digitalization, and the challenges of adapting to new technologies.
Moderated by Gabriel Tóth, the discussion brought forward many inspiring ideas and practical insights into the future of industry. Experts such as Pavol Kováčik (President, Union of Construction Entrepreneurs of Slovakia), Erik Ivančko (Director, Panattoni Slovakia), and Ivan Pastier (Business Development Director Slovakia, CTP) focused on key obstacles to tech implementation – from lengthy approval processes to a shortage of skilled workers.
The talent gap emerged as a recurring theme. Although wages in logistics and industry are growing by approximately 10% annually, statistics show it’s still not enough to meet the demand for specialists. One of the biggest bottlenecks? A slow-moving public sector, which hinders both approval processes and the recruitment of foreign workers.
Interesting fact? Electrification in industry has outpaced that of automobiles. Today, electric forklifts in logistics can not only store excess energy, but even return it to the grid when needed. Fascinating, right?
