We would like to share our experience of how Interim Management works in practice with us.

During the pandemic, the number of online orders in the client’s warehouse increased more than eightfold, causing complete chaos in all internal processes.
SOLUTION
Our interim manager evaluated the situation in the warehouse and, over a 3-month project, implemented efficient workflows in the following areas:
- Order Processing: Organized orders by grouping positions into multi-orders, categorizing order types, and establishing rules for their processing.
- KPIs Measurement: Implemented clear, transparent, and consistent KPIs for everyone.
- Warehouse Staff Management: Introduced targeted motivational incentives that encouraged employees to work better and find new solutions.
- Competitions: Added a playful element to the work, which was well-received by all warehouse workers.
- Break Rules: Implemented new break rules, which pleased the supervisors.
- Redefined Responsibilities: Adjusted roles to respond to the current situation.
- New Labeling and Picking Process: Streamlined the online business workflow, making tasks easier and faster for the warehouse staff, who appreciated the improved efficiency.
- Barcode Implementation: Seamlessly integrated barcodes into the system, drawing on the manager’s extensive experience, and resolving any issues.
- Optimization of Tools and Equipment: Reorganized shelves, pallets, carts, computers, and other tools to minimize unnecessary steps and movements, allowing employees to work more efficiently.
- Further Process Optimization: Also optimized additional processes in logistics and sales.
CONCLUSION
The project is still fresh, and we have not yet calculated the savings. However, what is immediately noticeable is the atmosphere in the warehouse – it is tidy, follows clear rules, and runs like clockwork. This transformation has impacted the entire company culture, and people are smiling more.
