The client approached us with the need to implement a new information system that would improve process efficiency and increase the company’s competitiveness.
INITIAL SITUATION
The company decided to switch to a new information system that would be able to integrate various aspects of its operations, including finance, warehousing, production, and customer data management. This project lasted 12 months and was divided into 8 main steps.
SOLUTION
Our interim manager evaluated the situation in the warehouse and, during the 3-month project, established efficient workflows in the following areas:
- Analysis of the current state: A team of IT experts and analysts examined the existing information system and identified its shortcomings and areas that needed improvement.
- Project planning: Based on the analysis, our INTERIM Project Manager presented the company’s management with a detailed project plan, which included a schedule, budget, a list of necessary resources, and technological solutions.
- Development and implementation: Programmers and IT specialists worked on developing the new information system and gradually implementing it. After each phase, they tested and corrected the outcomes.
- Employee training: The new system was presented to the company’s employees at the annual meeting, and group training sessions and support were provided to help them adapt to the new processes and tools.
- Testing and fine-tuning: After the system was implemented, thorough testing and fine-tuning were carried out to ensure its proper functionality and smooth operation.
- Preliminary transition to the new system: The company transitioned to the new information system in a limited mode to minimize disruptions to operations.
- Project evaluation: After the transition was completed, the project was assessed based on defined performance, efficiency, and operational cost-saving criteria, including its success in achieving goals and adhering to the budget and schedule.
CONCLUSION
This interim project required the collaboration of various departments within the client’s company and was led by our project manager. Upon completion, the company now has a modern information system that helps it increase efficiency and competitiveness in the market.
